[ Trials Explained - Everything Else - Stairs]

Stairs, walls, and other concrete surfaces, such as planters, curbs, loading docks (where you got your pallets), fountains, benches, etc. are great riding terrain. They are good for learning, due to their sturdy base and 90° angles. If you can find properly spaced benches or walls, you can practice your gap shooting. Concrete also has good grip when it's dry. Learning to hop up stairs is great for building strength and balance. Check out your local schools, parks, and urban centers for loads of fun. Just remember to respect other folks' property (i.e. don't ride in front of a store when they are open, they usually don't appreciate it, for some odd reason).
